How Font Generator works

Type into the box above and every available style updates as you type. This page draws on 151 styles from the font generator family. The transformation runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged, and the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page loads. Characters with no Unicode equivalent pass through untouched, so you always see exactly which parts converted.

Which characters actually convert

Font Generator offers 16 styles. 15 cover the complete A–Z and a–z range, 1 have partial letter coverage, and 8 also convert digits 0–9. Characters without a Unicode equivalent are passed through unchanged rather than dropped.

Where to use it, and where not to

Styled Unicode works best as an accent rather than a replacement. Use it for display names, bio headlines, captions and short decorative labels. Keep contact details, instructions and anything people need to search for in plain text, because decorative characters change how content is indexed, sorted and read aloud by assistive technology.

Unicode styling is not a font

A font is a file installed on the reader's device that decides how letters are drawn. This tool cannot install anything on someone else's phone. Instead it substitutes each letter for a different Unicode character already designed to look bold, script, circled or wide. That distinction explains both the strength and the limitation: the styling survives copy and paste into plain-text fields, but the underlying data has changed, so search, sorting, moderation filters and screen readers all treat the result differently from ordinary letters.

Character coverage by style

Coverage is computed from the transformation itself, so it stays accurate if a style changes. Platform acceptance is a separate question — see the compatibility guide and our testing methodology.
