Which characters actually convert

Strikethrough Text Generator offers 2 styles. 2 cover the complete A–Z and a–z range, 0 have partial letter coverage, and 2 also convert digits 0–9. Characters without a Unicode equivalent are passed through unchanged rather than dropped.

Where to use it, and where not to

Styled Unicode works best as an accent rather than a replacement. Use it for display names, bio headlines, captions and short decorative labels. Keep contact details, instructions and anything people need to search for in plain text, because decorative characters change how content is indexed, sorted and read aloud by assistive technology.

Unicode styling is not a font

A font is a file installed on the reader's device that decides how letters are drawn. This tool cannot install anything on someone else's phone. Instead it substitutes each letter for a different Unicode character already designed to look bold, script, circled or wide. That distinction explains both the strength and the limitation: the styling survives copy and paste into plain-text fields, but the underlying data has changed, so search, sorting, moderation filters and screen readers all treat the result differently from ordinary letters.

Measured by running each style over A–Z, a–z and 0–9. “Full” means every character in that set has a Unicode equivalent; anything less is listed as a count.
